Ice Hockey Game

Hello friends,

this weekend we have been at our first ice hockey game in Helsinki... and it was a lot of fun. It was also a town derby of Helsinki's Jokerit and Helsinki's IFK.

First some warm up training...

...and we have been curious what is different to a German/Berlin ice hockey game...

Here is a small video of the entrance of the teams & players:

A little video of the final warm up:

The game had everything needed... we felt it was a bit more aggressiv than in Germany, one player of each team went into a little box fight...hooray... and there was even some fight in the audience... Finnish mood ;-)

Yeah like usual in Helsinki you haven't been allowed to drink beer in the ice hockey hall, just at the bars outside...but we knew this already...

But for me the biggest difference was the better music during the game... for each break, goal, entry, special etc. they had great nice Metal & Rock music like Metallica, Motörhead, Judas Priest, Ozzy etc. So this is a higly plus for Finland ice hockey... ;-)

And some video footage of the game itself:

Steffi follows the game concentrated...

In the end Jokerit won 5:0. And we had a lof of fun!

Greetz from Helsinki!
