Frankfurt am Main is the fifth-largest city in Germany. During the day more than 1,3 million people work in Frankfurt, but just 700.000 actually life in Frankfurt. Usually the people life outside of Frankfurt, because of the high rent in the city and the nice landscape outside.
Frankfurt is the financial and transportation centre of Germany. All large commercial banks have their seat in the city.
The typically skyscraper creat the skyline of Frankfurt. That is the reason for the nickname "Mainhatten"...;-)
