2nd Concert: BLIND GUARDIAN in St. Petersburg

Shortly before the present you Part 2 of our St. Petersburg impressions here comes a special post about the highlight of our St. Petersburg weekend:
BLIND GUARDIAN in St. Petersburg...
This is also our 2nd concert in our exchange study time, and as I was a bit disappointed of the Finns rockin' to Volbeat, I was looking forward to some Russian Metal Crowd...

...but this time we learned another lesson...we bought on Friday our tickets, and it was clearly written on them... concert starts 8:00 pm, so far no problem...as for Germany, this means support act starts at 8:00 pm, and Blind Guardian not before 9:00 or 9:15 pm...pah...
We arrived 10 after 8pm at the club and by entering I recognised Blind Guardian playing "Welcome to Dying"...oh no...what is this...anyway...we fasten up, brought our Jackets away and enjoyed the concert...luckily we just missed the first track....

Hansi was in a great mood...singing was great & clearly, stage performance awkward as usual... *fg*...sound was great...
One hightlight of the concert, like on every Blind Guardian concert is the Bard's Song, here is a small video impressions with mobile phone camera... ;-) ...as you can see also Russian can sing to it... ;-)

The Setlist of Blind Guardian was great, the played a good mixture of old classics and only a few newer ones...perfect...and a lot of tunez from the "Imaginations..." album...yeah...

Setlist:
1. Sacred Worlds
2. Welcome To Dying
3. Born In A Mourning Hall
4. Nightfall
5. Fly
6. Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill)
7. Lost In The Twilight Hall
8. This Will Never End
9. A Past And Future Secret
10. Bright Eyes
11. Tanelorn (Into the Void)
12. Imaginations From The Other Side

Encore:
13. Wheel of Time
14. The Bard's Song - In The Forest
15. Valhalla
16. Lord Of The Rings
17. Mirror Mirror
As a small result, it was a good experience to miss the support acts, so no long waiting for the heroes...and the concert was already over shortly after 10pm, so not too late... ;-)
The prices have been okay...concert ticket was about 25€ and they also sold our beloved friends Jack & Coke for 7€...

And for the end....another highlight... "Valhalla" as a little Video again...sorry for bad quality... ;-)

And Then Where Was Silence...
