we had this weekend our trip to St. Petersburg:
The Isaac´s Cathedral is one of the world´s largest and most ornate cathedrals and not the only one we saw ;-)
...and of course we went to Hermitage!
“I can´t say that the Hermitage is the number one museum in the world, but it´s certainly not the second.” (Director of the Hermitage)
Actually it is true… if you walk through every single room you will have covered more than 10 km!
We also took the 3rd floor, which is fool of pictures from Renoir, Pissaro, Monet and Cezanne, so some of the most famous items of the impressionist and post-impressionist collections.
I liked the Jupiter room most, because there are numerous grand marble statues, which I mostly recognized :-)
Me and Caesar:
We have been twice in New York and always thought Traffic-Jam is terrible over there…no way!!! St. Petersburg beats it anyway!!!!
Even if you have green, the chances are high that a car hits you!The Public Transport system is pretty good, but overcrowded and never go during rush hour:
The Metro is the world´s deepest in the world. It takes nearly a minute until the escalator arrives in the deep, deep underground:
