Rock and Metal are Mainstream!

No joke! In Finland metal is mainstream.

Next to well known Finnish metal bands like Nightwish, Children of Bodom or Lordi, the Finns created new genres like Love Metal with HIM (the front singer is by the way something like a sex symbol here ;-) or Classical Metal (also “Cello Rock”) with Apocalyptica.

You can see that even in the city… We have a lot of metal and rock bars in Helsinki :-), so it became our mission to visit as many as possible! First we entered Prkl (short version of Perkele = Devil) some weeks ago and now we have been in Bar Bäkkäri (the backstage bar):

The design is amazing,

…and everywhere around are set lists, technical rider and notes what the band wants backstage:

We felt like being in heaven, because they have LYNCHBURG LEMONADE!!!!! YEAHHHH!!!!
