Since 1st October 2013 all National Parks in USA are closed by the government (even the Statue of Liberty), because of financial debates.
They told us, it is possible to drive through the park, but it is not allowed to stop and leave the car....;-)
Except one store Yosemite Village was closed and there are rumors that even the roads will be closed within a week. So we are damn happy that we had the chance to see the Yosemite Park :-)
Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in the USA and the 5th tallest in the world.
The Falls are entirely fed by melting snow. Every summer, when the snow is totally melted, the falls usually dry out.
You are not allowed to leave the car. But who controls it? :-D
